Troubleshooting FAQ

The product is not reaching 240W when charging my device.
  1. Check that your charger supports USB PD 3.1 charging up to 240W 48VāŽ“5A(max).
  2. Check the maximum charging power that your client device can accept.
  3. Check you are not using a USB Type-C female to USB-A male adapter to plug the SplitSpool into your charger. These often limit power.
  4. Check that the USB connectors and ports that you are using are free of dust, debris, and moisture.
My device is charging, but not fast charging.
  1. Confirm that both the charger and device support USB Power Delivery (PD).
  2. Some devices limit charging speed when the battery is near full.
  3. Try a different power adapter or outlet.
The cable is not retracting.
  1. Firmly pull the cable out at least one inch (2.5cm) to engage the retraction mechanism.
  2. Check that the cable is not damaged, that nothing is stuck to it, and that the retraction hole for the USB head is not obstructed.
One side retracts faster than the other.

This is normal. Each cable retracts independently and may not retract at the same speed.

The SplitSpool does not stay mounted.
  1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth before mounting.
  2. Adhesive performance may be reduced on textured, dusty, or porous surfaces.
